Connie KastelnikA former network television producer, Ms. Kastelnik brings clients valuable experience gained from inside the real world of TV news. Her public relations experience includes the launch of two of the most successful news shows in network television – “Nightline” and “This Week with David Brinkley” – and managing communications for the largest public works project in U.S. history.

Ms. Kastelnik is a communications professional with 25 years of experience in network television, politics and public relations.

Before becoming a consultant, Ms. Kastelnik was director of communications for Bechtel Corporation's Central Artery/Tunnel “Big Dig” project in Boston, the largest public works project in the history of the U.S. She managed an annual budget of $1.2 million and oversaw all public outreach efforts, including public information, media relations and advertising.

Prior to Bechtel, Ms. Kastelnik worked for ABC News for 10 years in New York and Boston. From 1986 to 1990, she was the New England producer for ABC News, responsible for covering breaking news and features in the region and nationally. She covered the presidential campaigns of Michael Dukakis and Jesse Jackson, and stories such as the 1989 San Francisco earthquake. From 1983 to 1986, she was a network news assignment editor in New York, covering foreign, national and political news. As manager of public relations in 1980, Ms. Kastelnik directed the public relations efforts of the news division and launched the premieres of "This Week with David Brinkley" and "Nightline."

Ms. Kastelnik has been a press secretary to several local and national political campaigns. In 1977, she was communications director for President Jimmy Carter's Commission on Neighborhoods.

She is co-author of "PsychCity: A Simulated Community," a community psychology college textbook published by Pergamon Press.
